Unit Remanufacture
Why choose to replace a commodity when you can have it remanufactured
at a fraction of the price and with a full 12months guarantee. At COX
Automotive Electrics we pride ourselves on being able to recondition almost
any make of DC commodity, from a simple starter motor to the most
advanced control unit.
All remanufactured units are painstakingly stripped down and stress tested
to ensure that we replace all the failing components, not simply the obvious
ones in order to provide our customers with the same levels of reliability
they had when the unit was new.
We have developed an 8 stage process we refer to as old to new, which
looks to ensure that every aspect of the unit is reconditioned to its original
state.
Stage 1 Visual Inspection - Irrespective of the
condition in 99% of all cases we are able to
recondition it, even if completely burnt out or the
casing has been broken we are able to use our
purpose built facilities and in house developed
techniques to bring the unit back to its original
state.
Stage 2 Pre Disassemble Test - the unit is fully
tested to ensure that the unit is truly at fault, its
surprising how many units we receive that have
been condemned by a garage only to find that
outside of it looking a little worn the unit is fully
functional.
Stage 3 – Unit Disassemble and Clean - During this stage the unit is
completely stripped down and old components are removed. Each unit is
then thoroughly cleaned and shotblasted where appropriate to remove any
defect prior to replacement parts being fitted.
